Joe Beaver is an 8-time world champion in team roping and tie-down roping. He is also an all time career earnings leader through 2007. In 2002, he was inducted in the Rodeo Hall of Fame. Highlights over the last 5 years include:
2008 - Won the all-around title at the Greeley (Colo.) Independence Stampede; Won the team roping at the Wild Rogue Pro Rodeo (Central Point, Ore.) with Justin Davis; Won the all-around title at the Sisters (Ore.) Rodeo; Won the all-around title at the Farm-City Pro Rodeo (Hermiston, Ore.)
2007 - Missed entire season following hip surgery in Dec. 2006
2006 - Won all-around title at the Wrangler NFR after winning $127,915 during the 10-day competition. He placed in five rounds in team roping (with Cole Bigbee), winning Rounds 9 and 10. In tie-down roping, he placed in seven of the 10 rounds, winning Round 1. Won all-around crowns at the Last Chance Bonanza; Southwestern International Livestock Show & Rodeo; Pendleton Round-Up and San Antonio Stock Show and Rodeo; won team roping titles (with Marty Becker) at the Ellensburg Rodeo, IPE & Stampede and Hamel Rodeo and Bull Ridin,' and was co-champion at the Pendleton Round-Up; won tie-down roping title at the Pendleton Round-Up
2005 - Won the team roping title at the War Bonnett Roundup Rodeo with Dennis Gatz; won tie-down roping titles at Rodeo De Santa Fe and at the Cowboy Capital of the World Pro Rodeo; was co-champion in the tie-down roping at the Fourth of July Youth Celebration and PRCA Pro Rodeo. Finished the year 23rd in tie-down roping with $41,961; 50th in team roping with $13,952 and 13th in the all-around with $55,912
2004 - Won all-around titles at the San Antonio Stock Show and Rodeo, West of the Pecos Rodeo and the Silver Spurs 114th Semi-Annual Rodeo. Won team roping titles at Buc Days ProRodeo with Mike Bacon, Silver Spurs 114th Semi-Annual Rodeo with Dennis Gatz, Cloverdale Exhibition & Rodeo with Houston Hutto, and won Tour round at La Fiesta de los Vaqueros with Mike Bacon; won tie-down roping titles at Dinosaur Roundup Rodeo; Colorado State Fair won Tour round at San Angelo Rodeo, was a semifinalist at Pace Chute-out; Pace Challenge and Pace Classic and placed in five of 10 rounds at the Wrangler NFR, finishing second in Round 10. Finished the year seventh in tie-down roping with $139,522, 17th in the team roping with $38,282 and third in the all-around with $178,167
2003 - Won tie-down roping title at Snake River Stampede and was co-champion at Rodeo Royal; finished the 2003 season ranked 11th in tie-down roping with $82,828, 29th in team roping with $23,651, and 10th in the all-around with $108,042
