Curtis Cassidy

Alberta Native Curtis Cassidy has already won two All-Around titles this year. As a member of the PRCA since 1998, Curtis competes in the steer wrestling and tie down roping events.

Highlights over the last five years include:

2008 - Won the Puyallup (Wash.) Pro Rodeo (Ariat Playoffs), Won the all-around at the Southwestern Exposition & Livestock Show, Fort Worth, Texas, Won the all-around at the Red Bluff (Calif.) Roundup, Won the steer wrestling at the Wainwright (Alberta) Stampede, Won the steer wrestling at the Mighty Fraser Rodeo (Abbotsford, B.C.), Co-champion in the tie-down roping at the Falkland (B.C.) Stampede, Co-champion in the steer wrestling at the Kamloops (B.C.) Outdoor Pro Rodeo

2007 - Hazed for 2007 World Champion Steer Wrestler Jason Miller at the Wrangler NFR, and Miller rode Cassidy's steer wrestling horse, Willy, at the Finals. Wrangler NFR qualifiers Casey McMillen and Sean Mulligan, also rode Cassidy's horse, Willy, at the Wrangler NFR. McMillen and Mulligan won or split first in three rounds aboard Willy. Finished 12th in the all-around cowboy world standings with $64,882

2006 - Won the Calgary Stampede and collected a $100,000 payday; won the all-around title at the Omak (Wash.) Stampede; won the Mighty Fraser ProRodeo (Abbotsford, British Columbia); won the Ponoka (Alberta) Stampede; finished the year with career earnings of $603,009

2005 - Won Jasper (Alberta) Heritage Rodeo; won the Medicine (Alberta) Hat Stampede

2004 - Co-champion steer wrestler at Rodeo Royal (Calgary). Finished the year ranked 20th in the steer wrestling world standings with $46,942

2003 - Won RodeoHouston and his steer wrestling horse "Willy" finished second in the AQHA's annual horse-of-the-year awards
